On the final night of the Championship points at Plaza Park, Jake takes several flips to ultimately end up in emergency and having a stay in the hospital. After CT Scans, X-rays, and an MRI, he is released to go home in a neck brace for a couple weeks.
The night was going good after qualifying 10th out of 24, finished 3rd in heat, and then started 16th in the main event to make it up to 4th. He spun out around lap 12 and had to restart at the back. He made it up a few positions to end up flipping down the back stretch into the fence on the wall. His new CS9 was stuck upside down on the wall where Jake managed to climb out on his own. When the adrenaline wore off, he progressively got worse and was clear he needed to be seen at the hospital.
We want to thank all the families, friends, fans, track officials, competitors, and more who helped Jake and the team. Very thankful for everyone's help, get well wishes, social media posts, visits, and overall concern. Jake is anxious to get back in the car!
