First USAC Midget WIN at Ventura Raceway

Jake takes the checkered flag for his first USAC midget win at Ventura Raceway! After qualifying 7th, taking second in his heat race, he began the main event on the outside pole. In a close battle and three wide on turn turn, Jake takes the lead and never looks back. He never missed his marks and focused on getting to that checkered flag first. Jake makes his midget debut in the HotHead Competition Engine Heater 00 for Pete Davis. After being invited to a test night in September, Pete gave Jake a chance to race at Antioch Speedway on the 26th. First time being in a midget and felt so comfortable. In the heat, Jake started from the 7th position and finished in an impressive 2nd, making him the high points leader for the night. The middle of July means traveling up north to The Clay Cup Nationals! Its always good to return to the state of Washington for this awesome event. Jake won the title in 2018, finished second in 2019 and backed it up again, with a strong second place finish. Deming Speedway holds a special place for Jake. Podium Finish in the 22 Sprint Car

Felt good to park the 22 on the podium amongst some of the best! After qualifying 7th, Jake went into the heat determined to make some moves. He won the heat which placed him in the dash where he would finish 3rd. Jake is becoming more and more comfortable in the 22 and can't thank his crew enough for all the support, guidance, and belief in him.

Night five of The Formula 500 Speedweek ends in another big victory for the Diablos Motorsports team! The Jettco powered Murphy ran like a dream.
