Jake made a return to Plaza Park Raceway in Visalia, CA to take the WIN! In previous years Jake raced the points season to earn such titles as 2014 Champion, 2014 & 2015 King of California Champion, 2014 Rookie of the Year, Super 600 Champion, and Bud Cup Champion but only appeared at this track during the 2017 season for California Speedweek. Having a free night and eager to get the Farrell Frameworks/Joes Racing Products 7p micro in the winner circle, he made the trip with great results. The blue and gold 7p set fast time, placed 3rd in the heat and took the checkered with the fastest lap time of the night.
